I think having good/reliable data will always be important. I currently work in hotel and having the correct data is important especially when planning/scheduling the following week. If the forecasted numbers are not correct, the labor won’t be correct and the hotel coverage won’t be enough.

I think the decision tree would be a great method to plan out school semesters/years. If we get a schedule of all the classes we need to take, we can use decision tree to decide on how to plan and what classes to take each semester. In my current career, as a guest services manager in hotel industry, i think Swimlanes diagram would be very useful. It will be harder to communicate through the ERD method. Swimlanes diagram includes more information and it is easily readable by anyone.
