Data Science Ethics

The goal of this research paper was to find out the basics of Machine Learning. I found out that it is used in our daily lives, and we see it in Netflix, Amazon, and our phones. 1. The goal of this project was to develop a unique idea for an application and design a prototype as well as provide important deliverables on that idea. This project was completed on 12/4/2018. Grads Consulting team came together as a group of four females with different sets of technical skills and a unique goal. That is, help businesses grow more efficiently. Our main objective is to provide Vitris, a small company that provides tools to business, a customer login portal to facilitate the interaction between Vitris’ merchants and its customers, and reduce data entry from the merchant’s side.

Throughout the execution of this project, we learned the importance of data entry manipulation and its consistency. Currently, customers contact merchants through web forms and phone calls. By analyzing and understanding the core needs of our client, we were able to provide an adaptable framework that fits all different types of businesses. Therefore, providing Vitris and its merchants a dynamic customer login portal to help both succeed. We also learned how to integrate all kind of frameworks that support our solution in a way that is easy to read and be understood.

The purpose of the Web API – Proof of concept project I participated in was to showcase the utility of an API we had found outside of class and provide a recommendation for how it could be used commercially. I developed a site which generates a randomized jeopardy question from an API I discovered (http://jservice.io/api/random),  and gives you the opportunity to provide an answer, see if it’s correct, see the right answer, and move on to another question. I propose that with more focus on design and a system to discriminate questions by category, the API could be used to develop a fully-fledged trivia program.

 

The goal of this project was to do some research and write our findings in a short 2 page essay. I have learned a good deal about machine learning after completing this assignment and will do some more research independently in the near future.

1. Living in an environment with constant changes, human knowledge needs to expand in order to catch up with the surrounding. Therefore, a study of algorithms and statistical data have proven to be the most advantage way in human’s study by using computer. Machine learning was developed, and become a perfect tool in the economic boom and recession with a highly precise number of data analysis.

1. The project had proven that responsibilities of institution for data collection were the key point in protecting data from improper use. During data collection, all five data ethics principals must be warranted due to the massive stored and analyzing data are transferring everyday.
