IBIT Mentoring Program
In summer 2019, I had the opportunity to participate in the IBIT Mentoring Program. I was paired up with George Llado, the CIO of Alexion Pharmaceuticals. As I was an incoming intern at Alexion at that time, the focus of our mentoring revolved around the internship itself. I was able to build a stronger relationship with George by learning about his leadership in Alexion and what he looks for in an intern. For our second meeting, he invited me to their office in New Haven, CT so that I could get a first-hand exposure to the company and connect to some leaders in the IT department whom I would be working closely with. Overall, it was a great learning experience for me to learn more about the IT industry and where I can fit in.
