Details of the Activity: In the first installment of the Talk Tech with Us series, Chief Information Officer Gill Haus introduced what it’s like to work in tech at their company and the trends that engineers are currently seeing. The webinar was conducted virtually over Zoom on Friday, March 25th, 2022.
What I Learned: By attending this webinar, I learned that technology is heavily involved in banking. Many people rely on being able to easily access their bank accounts and bank information on their phones and devices. Keeping banking apps secure and up to date is a lot of work and requires a strong team. Tech is growing fast and there are a lot of new ways to do things than ever before.
How this activity relates to career goals: Prior to this event, I did not know much about how technology and tech specialists could play a role at a company like JPMorgan Chase. This event introduced me to possible career paths and topics that I might wish to explore in the future.
