Thinkful Webinar | Free Crash Course: HTML & CSS
I attended a Thinkful Webinar on HTML & CSS on Monday, December 9, 2019.
The webinar covers the core concepts of HTML (tags, elements, and attributes), and the basics of CSS (selectors, properties, and values) as the basic building blocks of a website, and how to style them. We completed a series of challenges during the webinar to help us master these skills.
Although I\\\’ve learned about HTML & CSS from MIS 2402 (previously 3501), this webinar is a good refresher since I had not done anything with HTML/CSS since two years ago. At the end of the webinar, we were awarded with a two-week trial of their Web Development course, which would be really useful to practice and improve my web development skills.
As someone who is actively looking for a full-time job, I have been reading up/taking online courses on different programming languages/technical skills such as Python, Github, HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc. So this webinar was helpful for me to brush up on those skills in case I need them in interviews and such!
