Web API – Covid Data
The goal of the assignment was to utilize the Covid data API provided and write five functions about current Covid cases, tests, and deaths. The result was to create a functioning webpage with five working buttons. I learned about how to use and write a callback function, how APIs are used to pull information, and how to connect HTML, an API, and Jquery within one project.

COVID information
The objective was to create an HTML with a button that retrieves data from a designated API. For this project, I used functions, loops, and jquery.
The result is five buttons corresponding to five different questions. Button 1, 2, and 5 have information about the country with the most cases in the day, with the most deaths, and with the most recoveries. Button 3 and 4 have information on the continent with more cases and deaths in the day.

Deep Learning
In Professor JaeHwuen Jung’s Data and Analytics class, we focused on data, how it is manipulated, stored, visualized, and used. My research project on Deep Learning focused on what this algorithmic function is and how it is implemented into big data processing. With the rapid enhancements in AI technology, deep learning is taking data and analytics to new heights, focusing on volume, variety, and veracity.
MIS 3535 LinkedIn Learning Paths
For this project in MIS 3535, I completed three valuable learning paths via LinkedIn Learning. They were the Microsoft Project Essential Training, Learning Design Thinking: Lead Change In Your Organization, and Become An Agile Project Manager. Once I completed them, I earned certificates that are displayed on my LinkedIn profile. They were very interesting courses and extremely valuable. I learned all about Agile and how to use tools and methods to drive change and be an effective project manager.

Becoming an agile project manager
From this project, I’ve earned three certificates on LinkedIn Learning. These certificates were, Becoming an Agile Project Manager, Microsoft Project Essential Training, and Leading Change. The goals of these courses were to become familiar with the terminology of Agile, the process of change and innovation, along with the resources and tools used while leading change with an agile mindset. Within the agile framework, I learned methods of communication that prove effective when taking on projects that involve change and constant adjustment. These methods are taken in brief, time boxed and iterative steps. Another take-home was the use of visual tools called artifacts, to communicate progress and processes to keep the change efforts urgent and diligent. Most of all I learned that agile is more of a mindset that needs to be communicated globally within the team for it to work and stick.

LinkedIn Learning Course Paths
Microsoft Project 2016 Essential Training
This course showed me how to set up a schedule in Microsoft Project. I learned the basics of how to use it for lots of project management needs. It taught me how to troubleshoot common issues and make changes depending on a project’s needs. Overall, this course was a good starting point for utilizing Project in the future.
Learning Design Thinking: Lead Change in Your Organization
As my professor, Courtney Minich, PMP, said to us in class, there are always people who want change, but no who wants to lead it. This course taught me how to lead change and solve problems using design thinking. It shows how an organization can be successful with this mindset. I hope to be able to use the knowledge gained from this course to help an organization one day.
Become an Agile Project Manager
Through this course, I learned a lot about what the agile methodology really is. This course went over the benefits of agile practices and how agile differs from the traditional waterfall method. There are different frameworks, but scrum was used as the main example. I learned how a company might transition into agile and different software that can be utilized to organize an agile team. I hope to continue learning about project management!
Learning Design Thinking: Lead Change in Your Organization
This course did a great job of emphasizing the importance of user-centric design. Design thinking is a user-centered way of solving problems. Through this course, I learned about the basics of design thinking and the process of making a design into a reality. This course highlighted the importance of change management in effectively tackling barriers to integrate the design mindset into an organization’s culture.
